DNS.PT Association is committed to ensuring that all those who access your site, as well as its associates, partners, suppliers, customers or simply those who interact with us within the scope of our initiatives and projects, have, in this context, greater control over their personal data and the possible guarantee that they are processed in a lawful, fair and transparent way and in line with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27th April 2016, on the protection of individuals with regards to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).

It is under this framework that we have prepared a set of documents whose objective is to contribute to clarify and inform our community about the impact of the GDPR within the scope of our activity. It was then necessary to make adjustments to the .PT Domain Registration Rules. They are available at https://www.pt.pt/en/gdpr/ and will take effect as of May 25, 2018.  

The .PT WHOIS Policy was also modified and it was prepared an Addendum to the Registry/Registrar Status Protocol. These and other information on this subject, in particular the Declaration of Consent for the processing of personal data in the WHOIS, the Information Note for the processing of personal data, the Quality, Information Security and Privacy Policy and the results of the public consultation on the WHOIS Policy, are available here 

Regarding the website - www.pt.pt –, it has been introduced information and implemented some changes, within the scope of the GDPR, that aimed to ensure the compliance with it. Thus, the Privacy Policy, which integrates the Protection of Personal Data Policy and the Cookies Policy, has been published. A note was also added in the contact forms of the website, which refers to the previous reading of the Privacy Policy.
